2023.5 - Present L5P Duramax MAP Sensor Spacers – 3D Printed Nylon with O-Rings and Bolts

$90.00

2023.5 - Present Duramax. Upper and lower Spacers.

Over time, the MAP sensor in L5P Duramax engines can become clogged with soot — an often-overlooked maintenance issue that affects performance and sensor accuracy.

While most aftermarket spacers are made from aluminum, this 3D-printed Glass Fiber Nylon or Carbon Fiber Polycarbonate MAP sensor spacer offers a practical, durable, and affordable alternative. It includes a fitted O-ring and mounting bolt for a clean, secure installation.

The sensor itself is made of plastic — so why shouldn’t the spacer be? This design provides the same functionality without the added cost of aluminum.

  • SPECIFICATIONS

  • HOW TO USE

Locate and remove bolt holding in MAP sensor or sensors.

Install O-ring on intake and place spacer over it. Secure with provided bolt.

Use OE Bolt to secure MAP sensor to spacer. Ensure O-rings are seated properly.

CAUTION!!! It is possible for the MAP sensor to be damaged when cleaning. Please ensure proper cleaning is performed. I recommend adding a new OE MAP sensor for piece of mind.

  • DETAILS

    Q: Wont the plastic melt?

A: Not all plastics are created equal. The MAP sensor itself is made of plastic.

Material is measured by deflection temperature at 0.45 MPa. This measures a material's ability to resist deformation under a load of 0.45 MPa at an elevated temperature.

    How it works

    • The test:  A sample is subjected to a constant bending stress of 0.45 MPa (about 66 psi) while the temperature is gradually increased.
    • The result:  The deflection temperature is the point at which the material deflects by a specified amount, typically 0.25 mm (0.010 inches).
    • The meaning:  A higher deflection temperature indicates that the material can withstand higher temperatures before it begins to deform under that specific load.

Stock L5P Engines provide less than 40PSI for reference.

    General material deflection temperature:

PC CF Black 135 Celsius (275F)

    PA6 GF Black 182 Celsius (359.6F)
